Secret Agent Destination Challenge

In partnership with Sony Pictures' 2008 Bond film, Quantum of Solace, I worked as part of an integrated agency team to craft an online interaction that would drive repeat traffic to the Orbitz website and incent consumers to book international air and hotel on Orbitz.com.

To achieve this, we created the Secret Agent Destination Challenge which gave consumers a chance to step into the role of a counterintelligence agent and assist James Bond through a series of tasks that teased at the movie's storyline and featured a different, exotic destination. For seven weeks, a new Grand Prize trip was offered to an exotic Bond destination and consumers could both enter and gain and extra entry by mastering that week's challenge. Leveraging the power and heritage of Orbitz games, we created a rich desktop environment that reflected the sleekness of MI6 and housed each week's game, information about the featured destination, partner links and a theatrical trailer. In addition to the grand prize offering, consumers who returned to the site could score instant win prizes that included a stay at the James Bond suite at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and Bond Blu-Ray DVD sets.
