Bank of America "If You Cheer, They'll Hear"

GMR and all other Omnicom agencies were tasked with creating viral content that would help launch Bank of America's Olympic program, "If You Cheer, They'll Hear." The program called on consmers to create their own cheer videos and upload them to YouTube in support of the American athletes heading to Beijing for the 2008 Summer Olympics. To support the effort, I created a short music-video style cheer that, once posted, created a groundswell for the campaign. It was eventually selected by Bank of America to use as the featured video on the YouTube-dedicated website, a one-day ad placement on the YouTube home page and on The Today Show. During its single day posted on the YouTube home page, it received over 80,000 hit and is credited with helping to virally kick off the campaign.
